About Your PTA
Welcome!
Participating in the PTA is the best way to create a great school community!
Members stay informed of the events and decisions taking place at our school, volunteer when possible, and have a vote in how fundraising dollars are spent.
Membership is just $15 for the year.

What does the PTA do?
We support our school community, from putting on fun events to providing food for families in need. Our initiatives include:
Spirit
Do you like fun?! Our Spirit committee organizes Falcon Fest, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more.
Enrichment
The PTA organizes enrichment activities after school, a fun way to expand children's interests and provide childcare.
Fundraising
Through the Annual Auction, Direct Give, Dine Out and holiday sales, we raise money for The Backpack Program (food assistance), enrichment scholarships, parent education, and spirit events.
Community
We help make Fairmount Park Elementary a community!
Together we can engage in our children's education, get to know each other, and support our wonderful teachers and principal.
Welcome, Falcon families!
We look forward to another fantastic year.
— Kristine Chastain, PTA president
Mission
The Fairmount Park Elementary PTA exists to promote the social, emotional, and academic well-being of all students by working in synchronized collaboration with school families, teachers, and administrators to raise funds and develop programs that support engaging enrichment opportunities, efficient systems for coordinating volunteers, best practices in education and advocacy, and relevant resources for the Fairmount Park Elementary community.
Affiliation
Fairmount Park Elementary PTA (Unit 6.15.11) is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that is an affiliate of both the Washington State PTA and the Seattle Council PTSA.
Read the Fairmount Park PTA Bylaws.
Leadership
The Fairmount Park Elementary PTA Board of Directors (board@fairmountparkpta.org) consists of an executive committee of elected officers, appointed standing committee chairs, and non-voting members and representatives. Per the vote of the membership at the FPE PTA General Meeting in June 2023, we are thrilled to announce the 2023-24 team of leadership volunteers. If you have the opportunity, please thank these folks for making time in their busy lives to strengthen our shared community, on behalf of every student at Fairmount Park Elementary.
